Success Story

“Best of luck Ms. Rathy!”

Lake City Scranton would like to share the celebration of Lynn Rathy. Ms. Rathy is a long-term resident of our facility with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s. She is known for maneuvering through the facility and enjoying all the wonderful activities. Ms. Rathy began showing signs of a decline with nursing with the inability to walk with her walker, transfer out of bed safely, and needed more assistance with her self-care tasks.

She was referred over to our rehab team to implement a personalized therapy plan in order for her to regain her independence and get her back into participating with activities.
Ms. Rathy certainly had some ups/downs during her 3 ½ weeks of physical and occupational therapy however, she was determined to push through her obstacles, and she did!
At the time of discharge, Ms. Rathy is walking with her Rollator throughout the facility with supervision and able to perform her self-care tasks with more independence.
